Failed for a month with normal use

Using a sponge once a day for less than 30 days should not cause the item to break or fall apart. For that money you could buy 6+ washcloths. design flaw? Who knows. it definitely didn't last for me. I would not recommend buying!

They vary wildly in quality - do you suspect they are made in different factories?

I have one of those sponges I bought from CVS and it has a velvety, gummy texture that never seems to fall apart. That's great. OTOH, I've seen a few that have the same brittle foam texture as regular Clean Logic foam sponges. I'm pretty sure mine isn't cellulose as it's always soft, but it's a very different type of foam. Your regular foam sponges will also vary wildly depending on where you buy them.

Clean Logic Charcoal Sea Sponge

Was glad to find this online when the store I use to shop is no longer selling it. Just prefer that particular brand of sponge.
