Waterproof and Long-lasting: Clinique High Impact Mascara in 02 Black/Brown Review

Should have read all the reviews. I have been using Clinique for literally decades and have never had a product that has caused my eyes to become sore or irritated. Same as used in the other review and felt wrong, dry and not smooth as usual. Couldn't even remove it with Clinique makeup remover. Eyes irritated for weeks. Tried to use it again and same problem. Buy direct in store or online, this material was either very old or replaced with something else.

It should have expired. My eyes got really irritated slowly and then I got styes or something. Stopped using it to let her heal, tried again and same thing happened. I have been using this brand and style of mascara for many years. I will continue to use it but from now on I will buy it from a store that I know is of good quality.

I bought a waterproof make-up remover especially for this mascara and it does the job perfectly. Requires a lot of work. BUT the makeup is so gorgeous, very voluminous and doesn't leave any splinters or chips under the eyes! No raccoon eyes! If I want this voluminous model to last all day, I reapply it in the middle of the day because it can thin out. But there are no marks under the eyes, so it doesn't bother me at all! As long as it disappears without a trace and only needs to be reapplied…

What a clumpy mess! Clinique made a big mistake with this batch. I tried drying the wand before applying it to my lashes but to no avail. Incredible mess! It was just as thick and lumpy as before. I tried blending the clumps with a brush but that didn't help either. I threw it away after 2 weeks of trying. The only positive is that there was no eye irritation and I can still see.
