It was a big help, but you can do it yourself if you don't want to spend money on it. All you need is plastic wrap for the sides, a tough piece of foil to lay on its side to hold everything together, and a 2-inch spirit level, which you can get at a craft store for $0.50. and tape it or glue it in the middle. hard plastic piece and then slides over the top of the stencil. The bubble level (attached with foam tape) was not level with the template clip. I reassembled it with epoxy and then realized that this tool was completely unnecessary. Save time and money by using a 4-6 foot spirit level and making light pencil marks directly on the wall. Pencil marks can be erased with a clean eraser and the whole process becomes easier.

For my first stencil project, I took on a large and complex stencil project. The most valuable tool I had was this template layer. Before I started I asked if I needed it because it was a bit pricey. Omg! It was the most valuable tool in my stencil event! I placed it on the template and it stayed there for the 4 days it took to complete the job. If I didn't have it, trying to save the level template would be a disaster! Don't make a stencil without them!
