it really cleans noise from dynamic mics 5/5

It's a real relief to know that this product actually works. Video noise is a real problem, but guess what? because the sound! it has noise that is really hard to get rid of; Especially with software/editing it kills all the amplification of the sound in the amps! This block just does the job! by eliminating noise from your dynamic microphones. Very happy with this brand, I gave it 4 stars, that's a high 5, but the price is a bit high? it's a star! but the quality is amazing. I would buy…

An indispensable studio instrument

If you've ever used a ribbon mic on a quiet acoustic instrument like a violin or acoustic guitar, you probably know how beautifully the ribbon tone complements the tone. You also probably know how difficult it is to get a good level when using a band on a soft instrument. Even with a clean preamp, there comes a point when increasing the gain will add too much noise to the signal. Cloudlifter solves this problem by amplifying the microphone signal before the preamp. Not only will your cleaner…

It works well. almost too good

Works well. almost too good. I've tested it on my SM7B as well as my refurbished SM58 on my Steinberg UR22 at 96k. The thing gets loud when it's in close proximity. I even cut the volume almost in half. Before purchasing this product I had to crank the volume all the way up to get a decent signal on my SM7B and even then there was a lot of hiss in the room. If you need amplification this will help, just make sure you have a decent compressor to match your signal chain. This product is also…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Fair

Take advantage of it and turn your SF12 into an SF24 for only $250! :) The Cloud Lifter is particularly useful in situations where you need to place the ribbon mic some distance from your preamps, and just as useful when recording conditions require the ribbon mics to be a little farther from the musicians than you are. I would wish they were like that, and even more so if the source is calm enough initially. Ribbon microphones produce very low output levels, and even less so in many real-world

  • Always liked
