Cobra FRS 2 Mile 14 Channel Two Way Review

This product is a lifesaver for long road trips! The clear reception and 14 channels give us multiple options for communicating within our car and between cars in our caravan. The two-mile range is more than enough to stay connected. However, setting up the channels did take some time and effort. Electronics can be tricky, but it's worth it for the communication benefits.

This is a great radio set at a price that includes a charging station. Great range and clarity. I didn't have to use them for more than a kilometer, but with all the buildings in my area, it's great. Really handy without all the extras. Con - NO KEYBOARD LOCK! I've had to keep checking to make sure I'm on the right channel because of the gear I'm carrying on my chest, but staying alert means staying alive, so I've adapted.

I recently bought a pair of FRS 104's for a trip to the wine country and was quite disappointed. The channel button is NOT LOCKED, it's large and easy to press (i.e. accidentally change it). This deficiency made the FRS 104 practically unusable! You can't put this radio in your purse or pocket and still stay connected.
