More than you could ask for at this price point

If you're looking for a top-notch DVD player for an in-depth study of picture and sound, well I wonder why you're looking for a $30 DVD -Player first. You get what you pay for and in this case I feel like you get more than that. This player produces a very nice, bright, clear picture with good contrast and deep blacks. The sound is clear and nuanced. It's everything you could want and then AT THE PRICE. In addition, the player is resistant to scratches and stains on discs. The discs that play…

The first was sent back, customer service was terrible

The first DVD player didn't work at all and Coby customer service insisted it was my RF modulator. So I bought a new one which turned out to be a waste of $25. I then got a new DVD player which eventually worked but was set to some weird initial settings - which was possibly the problem with the first one. I do not know. If you decide to use this player, read ALL the documents that came with it, and if it still doesn't work, buy another one. Don't call their helpdesk. You only get one answer…

Fantastic buy for grandchildren

If you just want a basic (no screen) very portable DVD player for ALL REGIONS then this should be one of the best deals on planet earth. I bought it for my grandkids to hook up to a projector and modest sound system.
