Terrible - don't waste your money!

I bought my son to take him on a school trip. I charged it fully and it didn't work. On the eve of the trip I bought him a better one. I'm glad I tested it first. I threw it away out of frustration.

I got what I paid for

It was $28 when I bought it in July 2010. For the price it was worth it. Small screen but great video. The screen flips to take a video of yourself. Great software brand that's on board too. ArcSoft. Plus, upload to YouTube with just one click! All videos, not just those recorded with this device. Also takes a photo or video at the touch of a button. High resolution and low resolution too. Accommodates up to 8MB SD card. Great deal for the price!

Very inexpensive but poorly designed

I wanted a cheap, basic flip style camcorder to replace my old flip camera and the Coby Snapp 3001 seemed like a good choice. At around $30 (plus another $15 for the SD card), the price was right. Unfortunately, the camera quality was very poor. The lens cap came off when I removed the protective cellophane wrap and the tripod mount broke off when I mounted it on a tripod for the first time. The video quality was good and the camera was very easy to use, but despite a fairly basic need, this…
