There were a few comments on this product about how much coffee the MEDIUM container holds versus the LARGE container. I can ABSOLUTELY say the MEDIUM container holds 1 lb. GROUND coffee (see attached photo). There's also enough room at the top to squeeze a shovel in. I did NOT pack the coffee grounds, just carefully my 1lb. a bag of ground coffee and slid slightly across the counter to level the ground for the photo. Excellent coffee tin. I like the gray color I bought. Looks very good. The container does a great job of keeping the coffee beans fresh. The CO2 release valve is a great feature. The locking mechanism is very strong and very easy to use. My only concern is that the month display doesn't work for me. I tried my best to rotate it. Vain. The day clock works fine and I use it.
