I like it because it does two things. I can connect an external microphone and an external light to my Cannon camera at the same time. Very helpful.

I used this product to mount on my luggage rack. That works great. I've also used it on my DSLR to mount external LED lighting as well as an external pistol mic. Works perfectly!

Nicely done although the standard shoe mount has always seemed a bit small to me. The nice thing is that the shoe mount is detachable, so you can mount 3 pieces of shoe mount on one 1/4" screw, which is a good option if you lose the shoe mount or want to use it with another one.
