Handles good, cut slightly different than previous models

Bought 3 more of these after testing one from the company. The new ones pack better, have a sharper point, and handle just as well. The new tip bends or pulls back a bit and gets a more rounded edge for casting. All in all I would buy them again if they broke or I wanted more.

Fairly good for beginners

They are not as good as the 6 14" and 3 10" models I bought earlier this year. I have bought 3 12" models and the finish is really rough compared to others I have. Also, all 3 are different lengths! one is crooked and flies differently than the other 2. disappointed with the size of this model. The 14-inch and 10-inch models were of better quality.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • For seniors

Great value for money general purpose throwing knife

This review is for the Sure Flight 12 inch sporting knife. The photos show what they look like after the black coating has been stripped off onto bare steel. I'd rather reach for steel than paint.* Pros: Sturdy knife with only one lanyard hole at the end of the handle. The weight seems ideal. Good for a variety of styles. You can just drop it without worry. Random notches are smoothed out slightly. Note: I find the 12" model to be lighter than the 10" model. I think it's the weight difference…

Advice only. Best among women

This is a very beautiful and heavy blade. The balance is perfect. However, there are two very minor downsides that do not detract from the overall effectiveness of the blade. First the burr at the tip of the blade is bent, making it very blunt, but it can be fixed with a wet stone. Second, the paint comes off like dead skin. I recommend using some Jasco and Gunshot Blue to get the paint off and prevent rust. This is a good knife and I will buy it again.

They work shoes in shoes

I bought these because my 20 year old son wanted them for his birthday. We took it back and installed the old interior door and were able to start gluing it to the door in no time. We were amazed and thought it would be much more difficult to learn. I thought they were made of quality materials and still hold up well.

Too thin for its wide blade

I've been throwing this knife for a few days now and I'm liking it less and less. Of the five different types of throwing knives I use, this is my least favorite. The problem is that the knife is too thin compared to the width of the blade. I find it uncomfortable to hold for rotation. The no-spin hold seems ok, but feels like I'm throwing a tin, not a knife.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not bad

Short, light, brittle. Broke as soon as it hit the garage floor on the first throw! Too short. Not a bad deal for the money but don't miss out on the Pro Flight which is 3 inches longer and way better. If you are a beginner, you will immediately lose interest. You won't know the joy of knife throwing. Get something longer and thicker to ensure the right balance. via the balance or Jack's dagger from melee weapons.

Great no scroll knife!

These are excellent knives and very good for throwing without spin; The only thing I don't like is that the sharp edges around the handle get nicked and nicked over time after contact with other knives. which feel uncomfortable in your hand and can easily nick the skin of your fingertips (oops, NO FUN). This problem was easily fixed by using a grinding wheel (not a cutting wheel!) on an angle grinder while clamped to the table. Vise and give those clean edges a slight chamfer around the entire…

Great value for money multi-purpose throwing knife

This review is for the 12 inch Sure Flight sporting knife. The photos show what they look like after the black coating has been stripped off onto bare steel. I'd rather reach for steel than paint.* Pros: A solid knife with only a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. The weight seems appropriate. Good for a variety of styles. They are surprisingly good at throwing standard non-spin. The price is so cheap that you can just drop it without hesitation. Random notches are smoothed out slightly…
