The opposite side of the knife is not the same as the picture.

Photos of this knife are very deceptive. Like all Cold Steel products, the knife is sharp and well made. However, the photo on the internet shows only one side of the knife. The other side, which is not shown, is completely flat and looks very strange. Knife blade with asymmetrical cut. I probably wouldn't buy this knife if I could see both sides of the blade. Amazon is bad at only showing one side of a product when the opposite side is so different. Even the blade visor and the catalog only…

The success of edged weapons in a protruding blade.

Perfect for my hand. This knife is a bit large for concealed carry, but I don't think you can do more than that for a defensive blade. The triangular wound channel created with this blade is very difficult to repair. 40% of stab wounds are fatal, this blade is apt if it's going to be used that way. However, I found that to be a bit oversized for an EDC situation. It's a good blade though and I personally like Cold Steel products, I think they're excellent value for money, often good steel, easy

Less than you think.

I love edged weapons. Are there better knives? Probably. Lynn Thompson went too far? Yes. Are blade knives valuable and cheap enough that you can use them without worrying about scratching an expensive blade? Definitive. I thought I would carry a "boot" style knife for my edc. For me I found it a good size to carry around but runs small overall. Would be a good blade for a 10 year old kid or woman. Nothing against the quality or finish, just doesn't fit my hand. I bought the Counter Tac 1 and…

Neat knife. Don't dismiss it just because it's Cold Steel.

Cold Steel has a reputation for crappy marketing and I have long ignored their products but that was my fault. This is a decent knife. Sheaths are usually the weak point of less expensive knives, but this one is pretty good. I clipped it to my bulletproof vest under my magazine pouch. I have no doubt that it will make an effective two-handed "leave me alone" weapon. The pouch has a belt clip but this can be removed if you wish to use the zips to hold the molle webbing more securely. I…

Still mostly well made

Latest version made in Taiwan. It's still good, but the stonewash blade finish looks weird and the rubber grip is a little different from the Japanese version. The knife now also moves a little in the sheath. Tiny. However, it looks like the price tends to be a bit lower and it's still better than the cheaper regular knives. The back of the blade isn't beveled like the front, but it's not technically flat. He is concave. This is so you can sharpen it in one step by placing the spine of the…

Cold Steel Counter TAC One Counter TAC I

I bought this knife for self defense only because I don't think the "dagger point" would work for anything else. The knife was razor sharp on both edges and had a sharp point. It has a full odor and seems quite strong. The shape and length of the handle fits my hand perfectly. I was concerned about all the tabs on the handle, maybe they are soft rubber or something that won't last long. The material of the handle is quite durable, but very "stubborn". I have read some reviews where a customer…
