Unfortunately, COLEMAN is not a trusted product of the past. This oven is made of thin metal. The underside of the barley is covered with an extremely sharp piece of metal that is notoriously unsafe for children and any adult with fingers. During normal lifting of the device, my thumb was cut several times by the razor-sharp edges underneath. Looks like they forgot to finish the edges for safety. Didn't find the right model, ordered. It is crafted in a steel case with Coleman's signature green enamel. The basic design is good, it's light and the flame pattern is good. This is a good model for beginners, useful for day campers or a quick weekend getaway. There is room for improvement: there are no latches to keep the lid closed, there is virtually no storage compartment for the propane line and there are no side screens to protect against wind. In general, the stove seems weak and cheap.

I grew up using Coleman gear at campgrounds or at home during power outages. I have several lanterns, gas and propane, several stoves, a cooler, a tent and god knows what else from Coleman.
