Coleman 54 Quart Cooler Combo - 3-Piece Set Review

I have been buying Coleman refrigerators for years. I love them, they don't break the bank and they do their job perfectly. They really come in handy when you're out on land and need to stock up on water.

The coolers do their job quite well. They aren't the most durable but with proper care I think they will last a long time. My thermos leaked through the lid twice. Maybe I should have tightened the cap more, but maybe it works less with vehicle vibration or temperature changes. I'm still working on that.

That's a great deal. They're solidly built, the lids fit well, and the handles work well. The large cooler offers plenty of space but is not bulky. It also has drainage, which is important if you're using ice instead of ice packs. A small cooler is good for lunch or a few drinks. The thermos keeps ice cold water most of the day. I am very satisfied with this product.

Large cap fell off after a hike (I opened it with normal effort to clean when we got back and it just broke off). A small cooler can't hold more than two or three cans of soda before the handle comes off because it can't carry much more than itself. The beverage cooler leaks so badly that one cannot drink from it without taking a shower. Either we got a bad batch, or Coleman's quality control has gone way down.

Great Coleman fridge for the price. Took a large cooler on a five day trip to Tahoe/Yosemite where it was in the car, hotel room or bear locker. Wherever it was placed, it held ice very well and drinks stayed COLD. It had plenty of space for drinks. Higher bottles work better; This is a tall cooler. Banks fold well in half. The small size is perfect for cans but haven't used it yet or a water cooler. But they look and feel sturdy and insulated, they should be fine.

It all came on the picture. This is not a 5 day cooler, just FYI. The ice cream stayed good for 1.5 days, it melted fairly well but was in direct sunlight. Most of the ice stayed in place. It keeps things cold. The advice I can give is to put an old blanket on top of the radiator so it doesn't hurt the ice. A small cool box is also useful. Used an Iglu 6 ice pack which worked well. They are definitely not like the original brand where they were very strong and durable as everything is made in China. Very light, mine came with a dent on the corner but that's ok it was on the lid not the bottom which would have made me nervous that water might seep through but again the water ran through the faucet. I bought this cooler solely for the purpose of using it during my recent summer holiday trip. The large 54 liter cool box is perfect for all your needs (including two smaller mounts inside with spare space).
