So far, so good! - camping and hiking

I only gave this unit 4 stars because I haven't had it long enough to really know how it will perform over the long term. I bought it for our camper. First, it was a little more expensive than the others, but for me it was worth having an extra "handle" on the bottom to conveniently tip it on its side when we're using it. (Tip: remove the cap so you can open it when you take it out of the pouch.) It shrinks pretty well after use. It doesn't leak anywhere and the spout closes completely. No…

The first unfolding of the bag is a clue.

Good water bag. A lot of thread on the hat. Looks and feels thicker than the cheaper model. Opening a folding bag for the first time can seem like a chore. The bag has a loop in the eyelet on the bottom of the bag. My first thought was to grab the plastic zipper to open the bag. By pulling the loop, you create a strong resistance against the folded bag, which makes the bag feel like it will collapse or tear. The best way to roll up the bag is by unscrewing the lid, opening the valve and slowly…

Leaks - can't trust that

Was very happy with this product. I already have a 5 gallon filtered water container - which you change at the store when you buy filtered water - and a 5 gallon blue cubic camping water jug. Both are quite large and sturdy. There is no way to make them smaller when not in use. I saw this guy and thought it makes sense for car camping. Seemed like a good deal. I put it in the kitchen sink, dried everything around and waited to see if it leaked. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes I noticed a small…

durable and easy to use without all the plastic waste.

It definitely worked as I expected. It was durable and did not leak when moved or transported. The valve, handle and jug itself are strong. The bag folds up for easy travel, but it folds up on its own when using water. My kids only complaint was that the current was slow when the water was low so all you had to do was turn it up. Overall we are very happy with this product. It is ideal for camping and outdoor activities. As expected. It will fall off by itself as you use water and the level…

Good water tanks

I bought 5 of these collapsible tanks to carry extra fresh water for my RV. They worked pretty well. They were easy to carry. And when empty, they didn't take up much space or add much weight to my limited load. The nozzle works well, although I used a knife and carefully enlarged the hole on the nozzle for more water flow. I'm not entirely sure why they put regular lids on the back of the reservoir. I don't have a college degree so I need to find someone with a degree to help me sort this out.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

I'm on the fence, pros and cons

Okay, I'm tired of taking a large 5 gallon Coleman water cooler on camping trips purely for portability reasons. It takes up a lot of space in the car and we need every square centimeter of transport space when traveling with a family of seven. So I saw that at Revain and said hey great idea the roll up won't take up much space winner winner chicken dinner! More or less, that is. We took it with us on our first trip and I was amazed at how much space it saved on the way to camp! However, once…
