Product image gives the impression that the cup is larger. The material used is of good quality and suitable for the job.

This bowl is well built but quite small. Maybe Yoda started shaving old-school style? It does what it's supposed to and I really like the look of it. He travels well too.

If they have not changed the material it is made of, the one I have is NOT stainless steel. How do I know? Well, of course it's corrosion. There was a hard bar of soap and water underneath, as you'd expect, and it caused a problem that was as obvious as day. The metal was discolored and rusted in several places. stainless steel not. When I bought it as a kit, it said "Chrome" in the description. Chrome steel rusts, just like this bowl. That description was accurate. Be careful what you buy.

Getting more than that makes frothing in this tiny mug almost impossible. I suggest the Colonel Conk Model 111 Santa Fe Shaving Mug with Soap (soap flavors vary) which is large enough without taking up too much space.

Excellent cup. Great color to match the stainless steel stand and razor. Perfect size for making foam. Easy cleaning. worth your money. There is also a tweezers brush, works great together. After buying a large stainless steel shaving soap bowl from Super Safety Razors I threw it in the bin and bought this one. I like it because it feels permanent. to him, and not thin or weak. Prior to this article I used Gladware's plastic shaving bowl. Needless to say, I needed something better but inexpensive. Other reviewers are correct that this product does not retain heat at all, but I am still able to create a good lather with my Proraso cream and Escali brush. It feels good in the palm of your hand and is great for a small bathroom with limited space. In time I will switch to a ceramic bowl, but now my entry-level wet shaving kit is complete.

This little shaving bowl is the perfect complement to my Edwin Jagger DE89BL. It feels good in my hand and I like that I can get a good grip on the bottom of the cup while frothing. My only complaint is that the mug is a bit small and I keep wishing it was a little bigger. Size aside, this is a great little mug!
