If they have not changed the material it is made of, the one I have is NOT stainless steel. How do I know? Well, of course it's corrosion. There was a hard bar of soap and water underneath, as you'd expect, and it caused a problem that was as obvious as day. The metal was discolored and rusted in several places. stainless steel not. When I bought it as a kit, it said "Chrome" in the description. Chrome steel rusts, just like this bowl. That description was accurate. Be careful what you buy.
