Bought for a mission meeting in Guatemala. They were late for that, so I used them for another dinner party. they drip. Everywhere, everywhere, everywhere. All. I bought these candles to make an entire bottle of Chianti like we used to do in the 70's. It started off fine with the candles, but as it dried the wax turned almost entirely white no matter what color the wax was. We were so disappointed. Also, I have to confirm what someone else posted here - when the wax runs down the bottle it splatters everywhere. We even put aluminum foil under both bottles, but didn't seem to use big enough pieces. For a while we scraped off the melted wax.

I bought these spot on bottle candles and they did the job. I used the coke bottles in the photos, but the candles screwed into the top very easily. I angled them well enough to avoid lumps. I gave 4 stars because they stick together when not at the right angle because the wick isn't exactly in the center of the candle (I've even had some that dripped better when slightly tilted instead of standing straight) . But overall I like them and if I can't find a better one I will most likely buy more.

I love these candles! Don't be put off by boxed candles, although they are mostly white on the outside, there are plenty of pockets of the base color on the inside. They do take some time to burn (three to four hours, I would estimate), but the results are definitely worth the patience. As the flame passes through the candle, the pockets of the base color blend with both the white and each other, creating a wide range of colors.
