not what you hope

You're great in another pair of gloves. But in Chicago, just like in the upper peninsula, the winds can't stand it. I was hoping for more warmth from a special omnidirectional thermal liner, but when it works the warmth doesn't stay inside, see wind comment above. I ended up wearing them in heavy gorex hunting gloves. So they weren't a waste of time, just don't expect to use them alone when the temperature drops below freezing.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • disappears

Good looking close-fitting gloves

They feel good, look good and are well made. I won't give them a thumbs up for the heat though. I have Rheinoids and was hoping it would get my arms circulating on a cold Wisconsin day, but it didn't. The sides of the fingers have a kind of elasticity and do not contain all-absorbing thermal material, which makes my fingers cold and numb. invoice

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost everything available

Nice but not as warm as advertised

Gave it to my husband for a morning walk with the dog. The gloves fit well, were flexible (important when collecting poop), looked good, but when the temperature dropped below 30 degrees the gloves were not very warm. The seller's delivery was fast. He says he'll keep them but put on his old (very old) lined gloves when the temperature drops.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Well made but not warm.

I bought these gloves primarily because I wanted to buy an Omni-Heat jacket and wanted to test the technology before spending any money. The gloves are well made, well stitched etc and should last a long time. However, I didn't see any benefit from the Omni-Heat liner. They had cold spots, I never felt "reflective" heat, and they aren't as warm as my $5 fleece gloves. I'll save them for chilly days but most likely won't spend money on other Omni-Heat products.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin
