For my 12 year old son: around 110lbs usually wears jeans size 16 for boys. It has a bit of junk in the trunk, so we usually have to increase the size to accommodate it. The pants were great for skiing, held up well and he never complained about the cold. The waste is regulated with a Velcro tab on each side. These are great winter pants and you can tell the designers did a great job! The trousers have a wide cut so that functional underwear can also be worn underneath. There are Velcro straps at the waist that tighten the belt a bit. My 4 year old wears pants from size 4T to 5T and size xxs fits him but is not too big.
