Too small - my new rating

These boots were small. I couldn't put them on my son's leg. (I used to work in a daycare and wore boots on toddlers more times than I care to count) I sent them back.

Pros

Go to the store to buy boots! And don't buy these!

This is the worst fit and shoe design I have ever seen. Of course we were late for school today and tried to put them on. My wife ordered them and they couldn't try them on. Children must first try on shoes and boots in the shop. The probability of their meeting is about 5%.

TOO SMALL WIDTH

We were so excited to buy these for our daughter and when we tried to put her foot in them they were so tight she started crying. So we swapped for a larger size and they still fit very snugly. Columbia did a VERY lousy job with them and it's sad because the rest of the boots are great.

No room for toes - my new review

The boot was the right size, but there was little room for the toe and forefoot. The child complained that they were too tight and uncomfortable. He had plenty of room in front of his toe. Just not from above.

The boots were exactly what I expected, my daughter loves them and they fit her perfectly! The price was great compared to others.

Good boots are good for me

First, the boots were waterproof, which is why we bought them. They also seem to stay warm enough. The strap at the top protects well from snow.

Very good boots in my review.

Don't let the color description fool you. I find them cheaper because they are not for sale just because it is written that they are orange, they are definitely red and they look very nice.

Great winter boot. if you can get it

The shoes are firm and warm but trying to get a toddler's foot in is a real struggle, the shoes themselves are a good size but it takes persuasion, pressure, liberal use of oil and lots of prayer to get the foot through the to get entrance. The shoe consists of an outer shell and a foam insert that supports the foot but is too narrow for the foot size that the shoe is designed for.

Liner made too narrow

We bought them a size up to allow room for growth. The removable liner is incredibly slim; my child's foot didn't even fit into thin socks. It looks like the liner is defective. Very disappointed.

My son wears 3.5 inch shoes so I ordered size 4 winter boots. They fit it perfectly. All we need is snow so we can try them outside.

Bought as a gift

The quality is excellent, very waterproof and well insulated. But the size doesn't fit. Our son had just outgrown a size 10 shoe but needed a size 13 of these boots.

Too heavy for my rating.

These snowshoes look very nice but they are very heavy for a toddler, they weigh about a pound each, even too heavy to carry around and easier to walk in the snow.

These boots are not for toddlers! The hole is so small that it is much more difficult to put the child's legs in it. It shouldn't have a bigger hole, zipper or whatever to make it easier to carry!

Waterproof, warm and everything you need!

Bought a 'waterproof' pair from an upscale online (LE) store only to find it wasn't too waterproof after sending my poor toddler out in the snow wearing wet , cold feet came back. Bought these the same day. I bought these for my 4 older kids and learned my lesson: the Columbia Forty is waterproof, warm, the only boots you'll ever need for snow-loving kids, and it will last forever. You will not be disappointed. I repeat: waterproof and WARM. super warm. Thank you Colombia.

Looks cute but super small and tight!

They look good and keep you warm when you can wear them. My son is 3 years old and usually wears a size 9 and I always buy shoes one size up so I bought him a size 10. To put them on my feet I have to remove the liner and put it on my foot. and then put it in a real boot. The insert itself is very thick. If your child has chubby feet, go up at least 2-3 sizes because they are tight. Unfortunately I needed it to have the boots on the day they arrived so I couldn't return them and order a size or

Too small, too hard, too bad because it looks warm

Looks very nice and keeps little feet warm. A size 13 looks the same on the outside as his old size 12 boots (which luckily still fit him well) but are a lot smaller considering they fit him without panels. But without them, the insole is not padded, and without insoles it will not be so warm and comfortable. The ankles are also narrow and stiff, so imagine walking with an ankle brace.
