I'm going to Ireland next week, as this is Ireland we are expecting rain (and as it's winter we're expecting more than usual!) so while we don't need a winter parka we need a little more than a regular raincoat to keep us warm in the 30's and 40's . Unfortunately, the inner lining and the outer fabric are not the same length at the back, so that it billows a bit here and there at the back, depending on how you put the jacket on. If it wasn't for this deficiency I would probably give it a 4. So I have to return this jacket.

I wear this long sleeve jacket underneath in 10-20 degree weather and it keeps me warm! I have yet to test the waterproofing but I'm sure it will hold up in the snow. This jacket is incredibly warm and cozy. We have wet and snowy winters, which can vary in temperature from 40 to below zero. This jacket has performed in all of these temperatures and conditions.
