Not recommended: my rating

My son is 22 months old and the insole was VERY tight for his foot! Even after taking the balaclava off and trying to put it on before trying the boot on, I couldn't reach the middle of the balaclava with my fingers. It was literally half the width of his wide baby foot! They were also very heavy and bulky. So if we could put them on, I think it would be difficult for him to walk in them.

Pros
  • Columbia is one of those brands you can't go wrong with - now only when the kid stops growing!
Cons
  • Great snowshoes for kids but had to return the small size.

Very good winter boots for a boy

We love these boots for two reasons. Looks beautiful and durable. Every boy needs that in winter. A cool drawing of the taiga on the peaks with pine trees, bears and wolves.

Pros
  • High quality, keeps feet warm, good grip.
Cons
  • Very cute but too small. My daughter wears a size 4 and a size 5 is too small for her. Switch to size 6 boots.

Great construction but it takes a lot of effort to wear

If your toddler can't wear shoes, chances are you're not buying them. They look great, but putting them on is a hassle. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Ideal for cold weather with lots of snow. I would suggest guessing as they are a little hard to come by.
Cons
  • May be too heavy for small children

One size smaller for a narrow foot.

The boot was a little narrower, but feet were dry and cozy. They were a bit too heavy for our 1 year old but he coped well with the snow and the locks held up well in the snow. I had to order a size larger.

Pros
  • These boots fit my son perfectly! Very warm and perfect for our Montana winter.
Cons
  • Very stiff and bulky boots. They literally have no outsole flex

Not suitable for early risers

We liked the look and quality of the boot, but we couldn't fit a 1.5 year old's foot fully inside the boot. In theory a size 5 fits him perfectly, but he's too young to help us slide his foot through a very stiff and narrow ankle. We sent the boots back and bought a pair of winter boots from a company that specializes in first sneakers.

Pros
  • The boots are beautifully made and durable, a little difficult to put on due to the thick lining. I can order one size bigger.
Cons
  • Limited support for those with foot and ankle problems.

I was surprised they ran a little short!

I bought them for my granddaughter and they have grown small. We couldn't even tuck her pants into her boots. For reference she was 11 months old at the time of purchase and would normally be a little big for a size 4. Also they are well made and charming looking. I would just go up a size if I were to buy them again.

Pros
  • Comfort: With plush lining and a bungee closure system, these boots offer a comfortable fit for kids of all ages, ensuring they can enjoy winter sports without discomfort.
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable if worn for long periods.

size up! Mine were too small for my son.

These boots are super nice, really well made, but unfortunately they don't even come close to fitting my son. I bought a size and 1/2 plus due to the thickness of the socks and the fact his feet are still growing so I wanted them to last all season. They are very small and I am so sad!

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Not suitable for novice walkers

We liked the look and feel of the boot but could not fit an 18 month old's foot fully into the boot. In theory, a size 5 fits him perfectly, but he's too young to help us slide his foot through a very stiff and narrow ankle. We sent the boots back and bought a pair of winter boots from a company that specializes in first sneakers.

Pros
  • Shaft measures approximately ankle length Arch of foot
Cons
  • Can't remember

Roasted and Dry Boots

We have three pairs of these boots. We have a couple for 2, 4 and 6 years old. Kids 4 and 6 love their boots. They keep feet toasty and dry. They carried them in 12+ inches of snow with ease. A 2 year old screams every time you try to put them on. They appear to be true to size EXCEPT the boots are very stiff and heavy. The liner is tight and difficult to reach with a small foot. Great for pre-k4 and up! I would not recommend for the 3 and under.

Pros
  • Boot Hole Size Approx 1 Approx
Cons
  • No Power
