I washed everything on the gentle cycle/cold water like the label says and it didn't appear. The colors are super strong! I think they fixed this problem! Why start? I was so excited to give this to my kids. Right out of the box they are nice and bright. The first issue I noticed was that the sheets are complete junk. The rubber band on the leaf is VERY saggy. As if it were completely stretched. This means that a fitted sheet is essentially another sheet. The elastic does NOT hold the sheet to the mattress.
