I installed the yellow cartridge in my brother's MFC-J491DW printer and it worked without a headache, I've only replaced the yellow one so far and will be replacing the black and blue ones soon replace thank goodness it worked and I didn't have to do this and that or call tech support.

This is awful! If you're lucky, the printer will recognize it, but it stops after a few weeks. I'd be better off throwing my money away because then I wouldn't have the frustration that comes with it!

My brother's printer (1 year old) doesn't recognize these cartridges and marks them with a "?" The ink screen only uses ink occasionally. Went back to Brother branded ink. The quality of the product is very good, so I'm not sure if it's because of my machine or cartridge.
