My old Conair was a little run down and decided I'd stick with the brand so I decided to buy the same model (almost). The only difference was that this one has a retractable cord and my old one didn't. Let me just say that this feature adds a lot to the weight of the dryer. It dries your hair at the end of the day, but there's a distinct difference between it and a higher quality hairdryer. I bought this for travel as I liked the cord storage. The material is cheap cheap plastic in pink color, but the retractable cord function works well! Heat damages hair, even when using a diffuser.

I was looking for a cheap hair dryer with a retractable cord for my daughter and this is it. Unfortunately, the retractable cable spring cover fell off before we even used it, but we put it back on and hope for the best. I could get a comparable non-retractable cordless dryer for less to do what we need; However, I wanted to make packing as easy as possible for my 11-year-old. The less care she has, the less stress, headaches and whining I have. So far it's working great!

I just received this hair dryer hoping that with 3 different temperatures there would be a medium setting with a temperature that wasn't too high. Unfortunately "Warm" is not very different from "High". The "cool" temperature is about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. "Heat" is just under 180 degrees Fahrenheit. "Hot" almost 223F degrees.
