One star because of the arrow

The arrow isn't good. It does not support its own weight and does not hold the microphone in the desired position. The quality of the mic was what you would expect from an entire $60 kit (below average). I pulled it as tight as I could and even tried tape and wire. It just didn't work. And the microphone cannot work independently of the boom.

Pros
  • I always liked it
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Cheaper: condenser microphones

The higher the price, the lower the quality. I bought one after seeing the review and it looked great and the price was only $5 more than what the reviewer bought it for but what I got was different. It's under the same name but with a much cheaper product. Couldn't support its own weight on the stand and if you can get it working it sounds like it's being picked up through a toaster oven. I wouldn't buy this based on reviews not done last month because you don't get what is claimed. I hope…

best merit!

The video speaks for itself, but if you're on the line and skeptical of the audio, watch the video for an audio sample. First, the only downside to this product is the boom that comes with it. It is a bit short compared to other arrows like the Rode arrow. the hand quality is good, the tension holds. I can't complain about the price, but it's too small for my table. Finally, the sound is good and all the accessories included are good too. The pop filter feels padded but it works as it should…

The stand fell apart and the microphone didn't work

I was very satisfied because I really need it. I wanted to use it for both recording and teaching my school band and choir. I couldn't open the box for weeks. When I did it looked great in the box. I configured it to record over the interface. It kept sliding no matter how I placed it and didn't want to stay nailed to the table. I made an adjustment as he was uncooperative which put me in an awkward position. Then the microphone didn't work. I even tried another cable that I knew worked…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose

My First Condenser XLR Mic

This is my first XLR Mic and I'm impressed so far. I've been using it for about a week and have been recording voice overs and video with it. The quality you get from XLR is about three notches better than the best USB I've tried. Combined with a decent mixer this is a whole new level of sound. The sound is clear and crisp. It also doesn't pick up much ambient noise from the room. The microphone is front-facing and picks up a fairly wide angle. Doesn't miss much even if I'm sitting a few feet…
