Something between a balm and an oil that doesn't feel too greasy!

I have a curly beard that needs a good balm to keep it tame. The MB Magic Balm holds the hair well but I like its lightness on the beard. Some balms are high in wax and can feel sticky at the end of the day, but not only do they not feel sticky, they are not oily either! As someone who doesn't really know how to make oils, this is a great and unexpected find! Although I would like a little more hold, I am amazed at how my beard feels throughout the day. Think of a magic balm like a beard oil…

I'm glad I finally bought the balm

Great product; I switched to App State, so I've been loyal to the Mountaineer brand for many years. I finally have enough beard to start Balm and Boy. I missed a lot. Smell: If you want your beard to smell like pine with hints of wood and eucalyptus, this is your balm. Not overpowering, but definitely a very pleasant scent. Practicality: The main benefit so far has been that my beard is easier to shape and looks darker than before. This balm seems to help tame stray hair; It's not a hair gel or

I love this stuff

First time buying Mountaineer Beard Balm. I've been using it for about 4 months, I really like it, I really like the smell. The forest smells of freshly felled pine or spruce. The scent fades after about 10 minutes, gives my beard a little shine but isn't greasy. It gives my beard some hold or control, but it's probably not what you want if you really want massive control. I am considering trying a Heavy Duty Beard Balm with the same scent but would buy a regular balm again. My beard is a good…

Great scent - or no scent

I bought this and loved it, lovely scent. So I bought another one. But it must have been a manufacturing defect because there was no smell, just rancid fat. Straight into the trash can. So - a good one would get 5 stars, a bad one would get 1 star.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • The list goes on.

WV Wood scent is very strong

I may be wearing too much, but the woody scent is very, very strong. The "hint of eucalyptus" seems to outweigh the others and I can't smell the cedar. So either I sniff it all day or I hardly notice the conditioning effect compared to the normal setting (because it's just a conditioner). Of course this depends on the person and the beard (as you can gather from the other reviewers) but in short I'm not a fan (although I do like citrus and will update this review if I decide to take the risk…

Excellent balm best for men

The quality of this balm is excellent. Its soft, buttery texture warms up easily in the hands and spreads over the beard. My only complaint is the smell. The wood smell is very strong at first and my wife doesn't like it, but then it quickly dissipates. I've tried many different balms including Pre-Shave Grave which smells the best to me but this is my favorite texture and best staying power.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • A number of factors

I love Mountaineer Beard Balm, my new go to balm!

This mountaineer beard balm is my new balm. I LOVE the scent, love how it lasts and love how it lasts. I use it in combination with Mountaineer Beard Shampoo and it just couldn't get any better. The photo shows my beard about 8 hours after applying the balm. Still holding on and making my day a great beard day! It's not necessarily one of those "big" brands that are all over social media, and I think that's the secret. All are a product, not an advertisement, while others are an advertisement…

My first beard balm

I really like this product so far. I don't use it every day unless I feel like it or am somewhere nice. The smell is superb, a pleasant masculine smell, without any perfume nonsense. The other cool thing is that it gives your beard a really great "shine", sounds silly but looks amazing! ! (Of course, you just pet him, and that's good but useful information.)

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Okay overall but...

Happy beard happy life

This is the first time I've actually bought a beard balm, having only used beard oil which didn't help me other than the pleasant smell. I am very impressed! My beard is very rebellious and I never knew how much of a difference it could make. Basically it used to be very rough and dry like using those $1 shampoos on your head. But I've been using it for a few days now and my beard stays in good condition, it's wonderful and smells like wood shavings. . When it's over I have a hard time deciding
