Tried all 10 kits looking for one that stays connected. The tip is a little smaller than it should be to ensure a solid connection to my phone.

The wiring on small headphones was often torn. If they break next to the original molded plug, they are almost impossible to repair. These are great inexpensive substitutes.

Metal solder lugs are very thin. There's literally nothing in them, and they bend too easily. It was comfortable, but the materials didn't impress me.

Great product but it has one problem: the tip isn't long enough. On my laptop headphone jack, the tip doesn't go all the way in, so I can't use it without pushing it in.

I only needed two for my amateur radio, but there are 10 in a pack. No problem, I'll take the extra. The rubber jacket feels a bit thin, but that's not a problem. The two I connected do the job well.

The fork itself looks good but the fork cap is cheap thin plastic and can pull away from the connector with heavy use. They aren't made like they were in the 'old days' when the lids/bodies were made out of Bakelite material which could withstand heavy use. They will work in a pinch for a quick fix, but don't depend on a few plug-ins and disabling them in the long run.

Don't pay too much attention to these connectors. Metal brackets are rather weak. I didn't really see a mechanism for attaching the plastic cover to the metal base. If the plastic part was heat shrinkable and the metal was stronger I would rate them better. Functionally, I soldered them to the active speaker wire and didn't get a clean signal. The performance is also lower than desired. In their current form they are rather pathetic.
