I love this container! My husband retains fat after cooking and I'm tired of it in a bowl on the table, it's unsightly. I found this product and ordered it asap. Perfect! It's bigger than I expected but in a good way. The strainer on top is great so all the stored fat is clean and nice. It comes with a lid and a tray underneath. I highly recommend this product.

It is well built and well suited for the purpose. No real complaints. But after years of using empty pickle jars and the like, this thing is REALLY BIG. Larger than we needed and too big in terms of floor space for our relatively small kitchen. My wife strongly disagreed, and well, she wasn't wrong. Check the sizes and the need for LOTS of bacon and think carefully.

I like this container because it hides the fact that it is fat. Not what my mom used to do with an old mason jar. It's more stylish. Some people think it's an old-school coffee pot. Looks great on my counter and I don't spill lube thanks to the spout and easy grip. I also love the fact that it collects any crumbs on top of the container and I can then just dump them out.

When I'm done, I strain the HOT oil into a container. Strong enough not to melt or overheat the outside. He collects all the coarse crumbs at the top. It was very easy. I don't know why I've never had an oil separator before. This summer I discovered fried green tomatoes. Since I didn't want to keep pouring the oil out, I looked around for a saucepan and a strainer.
