My 13 year old son loves Chuck Taylors and has worn them since he was 10. They are very cute and go with everything he wears, especially jeans and cargo pants. . He'll even wear them with shorts. They are comfortable enough to walk all day and even play sports like basketball. I would say if you have a child who needs arch support I would not recommend them.
