44W average output - Buyers beware

[update] This company tried to get me to change my rating by offering me $45 - so I checked the product again and really given the "benefit of the doubt". . " and I've tried harder to point out that I may have underestimated their product. The bottom line is that it rarely puts out more than 45W. I have a 50W 12V HQST monocrystalline solar panel for 70 Bought dollars to replace A 120 watt COOCHEER panel and the HQST outperforms the COOCHEER and is almost as portable, takes up much less space…

Smallest 120w foldable panel - in-depth review

I've recently been looking at various foldable solar panels over 100w for charging portable battery packs like the Prymax 555Wh. I asked a few questions at first, including if it has a built-in MPPT controller, but the answer was no. I liked that this device was small compared to others and attributed it to high efficiency solar cells that claim >25% efficiency. I also liked the USB-C PD 20V output, so I made my decision. The device has arrived and looks high quality. Then I tried to test…

Lightweight with all the ports you need

This panel was installed in a patio and could be charged with a 60,000mAh power plant backup battery using the adapters provided. connects to batteries with small alligator clips. This panel can reach a high output of about 40+W even in cloudy weather. The foldable legs are attached with a thin wear-resistant fabric and return to the back of the panel with Velcro to reduce…

The most compact 120w foldable solar panels about

Overall I am satisfied with this foldable solar panel kit. Of all the folding panels, this is by far the smallest device, delivering 120W of power. There are other 120W+ devices out there, but they are considerably larger for storage. This set of panels folds into a 16" x 14" briefcase and fits into my motorcycle's aluminum side compartments. I was specifically looking for something to take with me on a motorcycle trip! The main disadvantage is that the cables are very short. As long as the…

Amazing achievement

The last two days I have tested my panel under absolutely clear skies and bright sunshine. While I'm not as tech savvy as Ryan D., I measured the output voltage of my panel and found it to be 19.5 volts, but the panels' overall performance leaves a lot to be desired. As Dave Boyer says, my panel only puts out about 45W peak power (measured on my battery) through the 18V connection. As for the USB side, it works quite well. Both USB-A ports work as advertised. The USB-C port, despite being…
