Even loaded with 8 cans of fruit and veg and a very large can (20-29 ounces) in the center of each tier (over 16 pounds total) this sturdy Lazy Susan proved to be quite okay, move gently and stay calm. Easy assembly without tools. Haven't put anything on the platter yet to see how strong it really is; However, I took it out of the box to inspect it. Set up briefly, placed on the kitchen table and twisted. It spins beautifully. No delay. I also like his looks. I have used it when I move house as I need more counter space. Very happy with it! UPDATE 12/5/2017: It's sitting on my kitchen counter as a two-tier spice rack. I love it! Didn't break. Lots of spices on both levels. Heavy canisters. Spins well, no lags.

I had a big organizational hit and bought this to store all my spices in my pantry. My shelves are 16" deep and 17" tall. The first tier of the turntable allows you to place items that are just over 5 1/2 inches tall, and my tallest spice bottle (standard size) is only 4 1/2 inches tall. So this works great as you can still pull out the spices in the middle. I have larger items on the top shelf - highest in the middle for easy viewing. After reading many rave reviews I purchased this product and was very disappointed. The product itself is very easy to assemble, but the plastic is pretty cheap. The turntable consists of two circles and three sticks that you use to connect them together. The first stick I put in broke the little plastic on the bottom a bit. I've bought Copco turntables in the same size (12") before and they fit PERFECTLY in my closet - right to the brim and maximizing every inch. However, this model has a very small chamfer on the edge which is 1/4 inch. too deep and my closet doors won't close all the way.
