Description of Cordless angle grinder Makita DGA452Z (177270), 115 mm, without battery

Angle grinder Makita DGA452Z is used for cutting small pipes and grinding various surfaces. It works with conventional grinding discs, as well as on network angle grinders. There is a restart protection and an electronic current limiter. The tool comes without a battery and charger, so it is suitable for those who already have a tool with Li-Ion batteries - there is no need to overpay for another battery and charger.

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Good Bulgarian. Quiet, fast. Turned the gearbox right away. Found that the gearbox is not enough lubrication. Haven't worked it much yet, but first impressions are good. When choosing a grinder, I went through many options, most of the batteries are inconvenient in size, I more or less liked yato. But then the price, the availability of the makita tool and the availability of spare parts bribed me.

Pros
  • Compact, wireless.
Cons
  • Not enough lubricant in the gearbox

Overall pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

Drains the battery pretty fast. Cutting anything thicker than 0.55 mm galvanized is an occupation for a connoisseur. Very sensitive to dust. Compared to DGA 504 - a nail file. The basis for the approval is 6 years of operation for 2 DGA 452s, and 3 years for 4 DGA 504s. If you are not embarrassed by the need to change the melted brush assembly once a year (issue price ~ 400 per set), you can play around. For normal operation, it is better to stay on brushless models.

Pros
  • Illusion of energy independence. Cheap repair.
Cons
  • Hypersensitivity to the slightest overload.
