Cottage Mills Serger 11 Inch 14 Inch Review

I put this under the serger - it didn't deaden the noises I could see (hear). I can hardly keep my car in place, even at high speeds. I used another piece of rug (what you use to hold rugs in place). The mat itself stays on the wood surface, but my car won't stand still on the mat. So the reason is the extra rubber mat under the car. Once I put all those pieces underneath, the car stayed in place. albeit not quieter.

This worked surprisingly well. I have a crappy plastic table that the serger sits on and it literally bounces all over the place. I placed the serger on a solid wooden table while waiting for the rug to arrive. The serger just vibrated a little on the solid wood table so I thought ok I need to change my sewing furniture. I put it back on the crappy table, put a rug under it and amazingly it really helped a lot. The sergeant no longer jumps. I can actually sew there. I think I'll get a sturdier…

If you use an overlock machine, you know how loud it is. Regardless of the brand, they are loud. And they vibrate too. Some of the cheapest sergers sound like a freight train going through your house!
