Bought for a new mattress we bought. I would say this is an average weight. It's made of polyester yet soft. I like the quilting, batting or filler sewn on to keep it from bunching. I've washed it twice already and had no problems. I even used Oxyclean because my son vomited in bed. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. This thickness is also a good insert for a duvet during the winter months.

This blanket is truly magical. It's a fluffy cloud. Reminds me of the blankets I slept with in hotels in Germany. I think it's better than the hotel blankets I've had in the US. I use a duvet cover and am afraid of ever washing it, but if I do I'll try to remind myself to come back and let you know how it holds up. It's definitely good quality as it is now. I told my friend that if this ever reaches the end of its life we might need to order a backup and keep it in a safe place!

I guess I didn't understand what the other reviewers were getting, or even what was shown in the photos. What I got is pretty damn thin and disappointing. My daughter wanted a fluffy one like mine which I got as a clearance gift. It looked similar. I should have just asked for information to find her on another site because she's not even close. This is a great duvet at a reasonable price! I've read countless reviews of other duvets and did a lot of research to find a comfortable, lightweight duvet that doesn't sweat at night. It's a fluffy and expensive feel without the bulk. I miss big fluffy duvets but can't deal with overheating at night and this is a great compromise. There were a couple of nights that we felt like it was too hot, but they were minimal. Gorgeous in our lightweight duvet cover. would recommend.

Perfect - no lint more like artificial filling but can't fault this comforter. It's well made, machine washable, durable (but don't bleach) and beautiful. Also, the patches come off easily when that happens (and it always does). For the price I love it and would definitely recommend for dorm or home use. I can only praise them for that. I bought this for a double bed in my guest room but only bought a queen to test on the bed in the main room. When I opened it I wasn't impressed, it seemed to me that it was quite thin and small. I did a lot of research to find a quilt for my quilt. This one seems to have ticked all the boxes and just arrived today. I put it in the dryer on low heat for about 10 minutes and then shredded it to make it fluffier. The fabric is so smooth and soft you just want to wrap yourself in it.
