I'm very pleased with this hand-made decorative box -- it looks just like the photo. The workmanship is good but I had to put a thin felt pad on one corner to level the bottom out -- definitely not a problem, though. The lining has an odor but I think it will be gone in a few days. The suede-like lining also serves as the hinge because it is attached to both the lid and the box. It works well.

I like the look of this box, but the quality is not the best (and I saw a ton if them at Home Goods for like $10 the week after I purchased from revain). The 'mother of pearl' seems to be 'peeling' in certain places, which makes me wonder if it's really inlaid. It almost looks painted on? There's a very thick, clear glaze-like layer on top of everything, too, which makes it look pretty chintzy up close. Overall, it's a cute box, but don't expect great quality!

Beautifully made box. There is a slight odor to the inside (probably from the glue). I left it open for a week and the smell went away. I saw these same boxes on a recent trip to Egypt for a much higher price. This is a great deal.

it was about 4x4,little thin wooden box with somekind of tape over it,sure was not Mother of Pearl,looks nothing like what it showed,so very disappointed, I feel you should refund my money and send me a return bot,

The box is very pretty but it stinks so bad. I have tried everything to get the smell out but it lingers and attaches to whatever you put in the box even my to my metal watch. So sad

Its exactly as expected which is very nice. I was surprised to see it is handcrafted; they said it but I thought it would still be something factory assebled. Very beautiful work. I would 100% get it if your considering it.

The pictures of this box do not do it justice. It is so beautiful and well-crafted. I have seen similar boxes but none as beautiful as this. I bought this as a gift for a niece but now I want one for myself.

Very beautiful craftsmanship, the only issue is the smell. It does have a pretty bad smell, well atleast mine. I also love the interior and overall just beautiful and simple product. Smells like fish or fish oil, but I'm sure it will go away.I do recommend this product for the price.

I was excited to unbox this but was horrified by the smell when I opened it. like it was enough to make me gag! I have it open to air out on my balcony now so I’m sure hoping it goes away soon. I suggest letting the smell fade before selling them to people. If I had been giving it as a gift I would have definitely been embarrassed by the smell. Other than that it’s a nice product for a good price!

This is a beautifully crafted box. it’s large enough to corral IPad cords and earbuds, as well as other small objects that can clutter up a coffee table. Glad I bought this.

The inlaid mother-of-pearl pieces were cut so thin they were flaking off. When I opened the box the smell was toxic. Don't know whether it was the glue that was used for the felt covering on the inside of the box or the varnish, but it was awful. Extremely disappointed, since I remembered buying beautiful boxes years ago when I traveled to this part of the world.

This is a beautiful box, and the interior lining being beige instead of the standard red lining usually seen in many boxes of this type (the red lining is also nice, but just more typical) was well suited to the box - given the use of the mother of pearl inlay.
