Plastic trim removed from the original in the car. Not difficult to install. Finding a hole is difficult but doable in about 10 minutes.

It says it fits for 1.9l TDI, but it doesn't. Width and binding are correct. However, there is a lip at the end of the barrel for an O-ring that will prevent the part from sliding fully. I had to sand the edge to get it to fit properly and it works, but leaks.

What can I say? This solved the problem. I have a 2004 Jetta 1.8t that shuts down after 10-15 minutes. Sometimes it restarted immediately, sometimes I had to wait a bit. So far so good - if I had to complain I'd say the suspension is too long, but other than that it's ok.

Unbelievable price. An OEM replacement at a local store costs over $100. My only complaint was that the original sensor's pigtail was about 6 inches long. The one on this replacement was about 16-18 inches long. All of these extra cables had to be eliminated as part of the installation.

Didn't expect miracles as it was a cheap sensor. However, it did not work at all, and checking with a multimeter showed that there was no continuity between any of the contacts. The manual says it should test 400-1000 ohms between pin 1 and 2 but that sensor was exposed. fully. Return for a refund, custom-made new transducer from a reputable source and proven supply chain.
