I love these colored pencils for small and big children. They are so easy to hold for both small hands and older hands with arthritis. My sister, an elementary school teacher, introduced me to them when I was looking for a gift for a child with a disability. They fit her perfectly and since then I've been happy to give them to kids and now to adults who are obsessed with adult coloring books.

We bought these specifically for use on the plane when we wanted to fly 10 hours with a 2 year old. They didn't disappoint as they were relatively easy to control, except of course when thrown on purpose. My little one still likes to use it at home. They are easy to hold and seem to really help develop a decent grip. I would recommend these to any parent looking for durable crayons for flying on an airplane.

Bought for my child's first flight. They worked great on the tray because they don't roll! (Keeping them from coloring on the tray is another story.) I also love how easy the color is to transfer. She's learning to doodle, so she's not stressing out too much yet, but she can see her lines and doodles with these crayons (compared to others). They are also larger and easier for them to hold properly. I love her. Probably will buy more!

I am a preschool teacher but I bought these for my 4 year old son. Having worked with this age group for a while I have to say these are the best colored pencils. They help teach proper grip early on without fancy devices because their shape is inherently comfortable to grip. And of course, Crayola brand crayons are more durable and easier to color, so they're worth the price. An added bonus: they don't roll off the table! If you're looking for a good first pen, this is the best I've found!
