Not for watercolors. This paper is too thin. If your toddler likes to press the marker onto the paper and occasionally pause while she thinks, take each sheet out of the notebook and place something underneath. We'll be using these for crayons and crayons and maybe a little marker too with my preschooler. Strongly disappointed. I don't give two stars lightly.

I ordered this paper for my son's 2nd birthday. We've only used it for watercolor painting - and the paper tears easily when it's too wet (which is a little annoying if it's meant for watercolor painting) - but we also know that two-year-olds aren't exactly graceful and tender when sticking wet . brush on paper either. So that's it - for the price, a very large notepad with lots of sheets is well worth it.

I think it was my fault for not reading the full description. I thought this notebook had markings (I was wrong, my fault). I knew it wasn't new, but I didn't expect it to be so messed up when I picked it up. That; The pages are torn out, the binding holding the paper is torn. Luckily this is for my 2 year old but next time I will be more careful and buy a new one.

This set was purchased to keep my granddaughter busy during her 2 week hospital stay. I have to admit that he did his job and more. I think all nurses do their makeup before going home for the day. With only one set, it was easy for her and she didn't have to search for anything when she was ready to paint. I would recommend this set to any parent who needs some entertainment for their children and likes to draw or paint.
