Yes, they look small, but they actually hold about a cup of soup. If you want more, there are seconds. But then again, we live in a country that "beats me". I love her! They are great for fries and sauces, soups and sandwiches, soups and crackers, ice cream and toppings, vegetables and sauces, etc. Great for portion control. Can be used as a single serving or serving bowl. They are well made, beautiful and unique! I bought two sets, four colors in total!

These beautiful ceramic snack sets are just what I wanted. They are actual portion sizes, not giant "American" portions, so don't expect anything too big. But they're just right for packing soup or fries in the bowl and crackers or half a sandwich in the side compartment. These parts are thick and heavy, not brittle, and seem to hold up well for a long time. They have a small handle on one end that makes them easy to carry. I ordered the red/cream combo and am now tempted to order another color
