a beautiful ceiling lamp almost stopped working. Over the years, the heat from the bulbs has damaged 3 of the 4 sockets in the light, so the bulbs screwed into it no longer light up. Thanks to this replacement, I was able to remove the broken bushings and replace them with these. They fit perfectly into existing holes in the mount and the rings hold them in place. I'm glad it works now and looks like new!

Brass ceiling light flew out - the cord overheated. The spare parts available are of lower quality and not quite the same design. Bought to try and replace the inside of a lamp. Worked. The only difficulties were 1) I had to strip the wires at the ends to make the connections 2) I needed a pigtail for my mount. A fairly long wire could be saved from the old wiring. These are lamp holders, they did what they were supposed to do. at least met my expectations. There are 4 pieces + a small plug whose function I cannot evaluate. Understanding the assembly wasn't that difficult, but there were no instructions at all. Be sure to fully assemble the base before you are ready (e.g. before connecting the wiring); There is a lock feature which is not easy to cancel and there are no instructions on how to cancel.
