I bought these based on reviews with the intention of buying a few more if they are as good as I had hoped. I plan on keeping a pair for home use, one in my gym bag and one in the glove box of my car. With them I can watch Netflix on my iPad while my 5 year old watches his cartoons on the big screen TV in the same room. I'd say these headphones are above average, but not by much. The sound quality is good and clear, but without a strong bass effect (which suited me because the sound became more balanced).
