I bought this to use as a sewing box. I've had it for a few months now and have three problems with it: 1) The lid doesn't close properly when there are items in certain areas of the drawer. The lid bumps against objects so I often have to move it to close it. I have spools of thread, so I'm not trying to fit large things. 2) The lift tray is quite difficult to install in place. It goes in crooked and is difficult to put back on. 3) The latch is misaligned and needs to be resealed periodically.

I'm a woman and I'm tired of hiding hammers, screwdrivers and all that in a plastic shoe box. I don't need a proper tool box or set of big tools, I just have the little tools I need to hang pictures and assemble shelves or whatever. It was all thrown into a plastic box along with a bunch of nails, screws and tape and it was a mess. Bought this to store some of my cross stitch supplies and it works very well for that! I can put my needles, scissors, needle threader, magic yarn and some bobbins from my current project in the removable compartment which is really handy for easy opening and grabbing when I'm getting ready. No problem, put a few balls of yarn at the bottom and a few of my smaller hoops.
