My wife and I drink wine with dinner every night. While I was in the hospital, my wife tried to pull the cork out of a wine bottle. They bent a screw. I liked this puller so much that I decided to replace the part - it's easy. When the package arrived I found that they had shipped the entire puller. OK. Works great except it takes some force to get the solid connector out.

This was a replacement for a spare screw that had reached the end of its life. I think the replaced one didn't meet the 1000 bottle requirement; Therefore, I judge a replacement based on the specifications of the replacement screw that replaced the original screw. More importantly I rate the supplier's performance as BAD as it took me 4 weeks to deliver it to me. I don't accept their explanation that USPS error was the reason for the delay!

I bought this replacement for my dad as the non stick coating on his knife seemed to be peeling off giving the knife a little more resistance. I swapped this out for the old one and after a few seconds the puller opened like new. Silky smoothness and low resistance in cork. All you have to do to replace a screw is unscrew the top cap of the bottle opener, pull out the old screw and put this in. You don't need any tools and it couldn't be easier.

Teflon coating is significantly inferior to previous versions of this product. You have to go to a cheap Chinese manufacturer. The old ones worked MUCH better. This one is difficult to drive into traffic due to poor coverage. I thought it might be a defective part but other reviewers had similar issues.
