Bathroom lighting with bulbs

I've been trying to replace 8 x 40w bulbs above our bathroom mirror for a while. These lamps are similar in brightness to the larger lamps they replaced. However, the light is different as they are not matte which causes some strange shadow effects. It's not enough to actually notice as there are 8 of them. I wish they had bigger bulbs and were frosted, but they work great at a much lower power draw, 16w vs 320w. (actual flow not measured)

Lamp burned out in less than 1 month

Brightness meets 2W rating. We have used them in two bathroom vanity lights with 3 bulbs per bulb and the room is not bright enough for our liking. We need to upgrade to a 3W bulb to get the amount of light we want without being overwhelming. Not the product's fault, but our fault for choosing a lamp with a lower lumen output. The 3-star rating is for lamp life. We received the goods on December 24, and by January 20, one of the six installed had already burned out. It flickered all day beforeโ€ฆ

These bulbs are poorly made and short lived

UPDATE. It's November 19th, just about 7 months after purchase, and 5 bulbs have died. Terrible quality! I bought three packs of 8 of these bulbs on May 2nd, 2020. About a month later, one of them started flickering. Seller contacted, very accommodating. The seller refunded me for multiple bulbs as they could not replace just one bulb. Well, it's September 15, 2020 and the third lamp has started flickering and failing! For me the two biggest advantages of LED bulbs are (1) much cheaper to runโ€ฆ
