Dude I wish this would work for me but I couldn't start the saw and vacuum without unplugging the switch on this unit. It would shut down and start working again after a few minutes (like the power button was too hot or something).

Very bulky and heavy device not designed for intended outdoor use. In the end I won't like it. What I don't like the most is the plastic extensions on either side for winding the cord as they don't hold the power cord well.

Plugged in but my instrument wouldn't turn on. Hmm, maybe the outlet isn't working. No, the socket works perfectly. I hooked up a circuit tester and it said Hot/Grd REVERSE. You would think that a company that makes power strips would make sure they were wired properly. Not sure who rated the "features": strength, durability, cord length. How about "work"?

This article is complete crap. I purchased this item with the expectation that it would be used during a construction project in my home. So I couldn't test it upon delivery. So when I took out the bubble wrap and put it in; Nothing! It seems solid and reliable but I can't test it because it never worked! This was the device I was looking for when installing a waterproof surge arrester. It is not. I was looking out the window at my pond after the rain and smoke was coming out of my junction box which I use to protect the surge protectors.
