Friendly cruise ship, small and versatile

I was looking for an affordable cruiser, small, "wall mountable" that included both AC ports and USB ports. Celebrity Cruise Lines will NOT accept surge protection extensions. This little guy ticks all the boxes: no surge protection, it's small, it has three AC ports and two USB ports. Plugging into a single outlet gave me the ability to run CPAP and keep my phone and laptop charged. NOTE: My CPAP has its own long cord, as does my laptop. A celebrity provided me with an extension cord for my…

Great buy.: Surge Protector

Great product that works. However, when the wall unit is inside, it is on the countertop. It also squeezes the phone cord almost to the point of breaking. I had to unplug the phone cord to make sure it didn't get damaged. End caps can be fitted to the rear underside of the wall unit to keep it from completely resting on the worktop. I've seen where people have said using all three plugs was difficult and I agree. I could only use 2 external plugs and USB sockets. Overall it gets the job done…

Perfect addition to the interior

Just got back from Grandeur of the Seas and took this with us. We have been on 5+ cruises and have never gone and I always miss outlets - alarm clocks, hair straighteners, phones, e-reader, tablet etc. This solved that problem! There were 2 sockets in the cabin and this only occupied one, the other didn't close. I had 2 iphones, a corner and an apple watch, which charged at the same time with no problem. That was excellent.

Good connector location.

I've always used my Belkin Swivel Plug Surge Protector to accommodate the unusual placement of most marine outlets. It's only recently that I've started reading about the non-surg requirements. I guess I'm lucky nobody took it from me; it was expensive. When I saw this I was excited to see that the plug was on the bottom instead of the top. This should give more chances to install odd ships.

  • Good, but not great

Need something for a cruise.

Many ships have 1 US plug on vanity. They cannot take long strips and are protected from surges. you will take them. The problem is that in your cabin you want to plug in the phones (usually 2) and also get your hair done. To get started, you will also need a hair dryer and maybe a straightening iron or curlers. It's always a challenge. It solves everything. The light weight makes it even better. I would recommend it to anyone taking a cruise. I've been on over 60 cruises (lost count) and most…

Great but could be a little smaller

My sons (one of their friends) and I were on our cruise for 3 days so 4 of us used an extension cord. It has worked so well for us. The only downside I would say is that because it's square it partially blocks the exit of the other ship and makes it unusable. I think if it was a little smaller (maybe just 1/4 inch) it would be perfect. However, we got around this by unplugging one of the phone's chargers. This is a very small minus, because otherwise I like that we can connect 5 accessories at…
