2003 Chevrolet Silverado

2003 Chevrolet Silverado wired perfectly, Pioneer Nex radio backlight and dimming return line as factory fitted and backup camera on.

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Available in black only

Constantly beeping in radio harnesses

Constantly beeping when you don't turn on and off the light several times and open and close the driver's door several times, sometimes you have to turn off the car and restart

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Protection

Does the job 75%

It does what it was designed to do. Replaces factory bell and works with Bose. It will definitely ring more times than the factory one on every message and will ring randomly once when the doors are open even when the car is off. It also sings every time you press the unlock button on the remote. I 100% prefer the factory but I can deal with the inconvenience of having an aftermarket radio.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Well. I routed the wiring on this wiring harness nearby.

Fits perfectly with all factory plugs. The new Kenwood radio that I installed later hummed. All connections checked, good. I routed the wiring on this harness next to the black box that this harness comes with and I could let the noise come and go. So bad connection. I ended up sticking a bundle of tape on the black box that this bundle comes with and the noise went away.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • old

Constant beeps

Constant beeps If you don't turn the lights on and off a few times and open and close the driver's door a few times, sometimes you have to turn off the car and restart it

Pros
  • Car audio and video installation
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Good product

Installed in my 03 Silverado with Bose/Onstar/Steering Wheel Control. This product ONLY saves Bose, I don't need SWC or Onstar. Works great, the melody is subtle and not annoying like other interfaces.

Pros
  • Car Electronics Accessory
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Well. I routed the wiring on this harness side-by-side.

Fits perfectly in all factory plugs. The new Kenwood radio that I installed later hummed. All connections checked, good. I routed the wiring on this harness next to the black box that this harness comes with and I could let the noise come and go. So bad connection. Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • not reliable
