Disappointing broken product

This was a Father's Day gift for my husband and he opened it up yesterday to use it for the first time (only received it in the post 4 weeks ago!) and have fun with it holding on to one end . Unfortunately it was the deadline for a return so we were stuck with a $30 piece of junk that went in the bin. Very disappointing, especially for a Cuisinart item.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Used day arrived and many times since

Tired of buying aluminum grill/smoker meat marinating tins. This container is versatile in the sense that I can marinate small cuts of meat/chicken/jerky when the container is collapsed, or larger cuts like shoulders and whole chickens. Used it the day I got it and a few more times since. I definitely recommend this product

Good medium/large container. Holds a lot, but not everything

Holds quite a lot, but there are still limitations, for example you can't put a whole turkey there, of course. But for marinating other foods like chicken breasts, steaks, etc. it's great! I can put a ton of that kind of meat in there! And when I'm done, I throw it in the dishwasher so it's easier to clean! It seems to be made out of decent quality materials, I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Needs Improvement - Kitchen and Dining

I was so excited to get this product as it is difficult to find large marinating containers that don't take up storage space AND the fridge. Was disappointed that it's collapsible but glad it's not fully silicone. Marinating Galbi (Korean BBQ Ribs) is fine, but I probably wouldn't do something like two chickens, as shown in one of the photos on the product page. If they could make a flat large container out of BPA free hard plastic I would buy that instead.

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • sad packaging

large container that can be easily stowed away.

Cuisinart CMT-100 XL Collapsible Marinade Container, Black This is a large container that I use to marinate meats for the whole family. It can hold 4-6 ribeye steaks. I have a little problem closing the lid. It's a little tricky to align to have a good seal. But it works. Simply wash/clean with the dishwasher. The biggest advantage is the folding and storage. before. I have to use 3 separate glass marinating containers. Now I only need one and it doesn't take up as much space.

  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Very expensive

Nice container but I'm still a fan of the Tupperware One

Nice big foldable marinade container, see my photos. The base is good and solid. This allows the pages to go up and down easily. The lids can also be closed easily and securely. This pairs perfectly with my large Costco roast that comes with two. I also have a Tupperware marinade container with a textured bottom and top so you can marinate one side and then flip to marinate the other side without opening the container. While enjoying this new container, I like to simply turn the container over…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Doesn't fit everything

Wow! No more bowls and plastic wrap for me!

Update: Just discovered this folded flat surface makes the perfect tray for all your grilling! First of all, it's a lot more personal than I thought. You can easily marinate 2 brisket or 3-4 rows of ribs in this container. I've used a glass bowl and plastic wrap for pickling for years. However, this way you have to cut the ribs in half to fit in the bowl. This thing can easily handle full St. Louis racks. I love that it's foldable (just like those portable dog bowls you see everywhere that…

Time will tell for food storage

The bottom (first 1 inch +/-) of this large container is rigid, with a flexible rubber (or silicone) top that stretches can be folded/expanded. Includes a tightly sealed cover that is easy to install. Just press on the ledges, not down. It can be used folded or fully extended according to your needs. It's lightweight, easy to clean (dishwasher safe) and easy to store. It has enough room for most large cuts of meat (whole chicken, roast, pork shoulder/leg, etc.) but is not large enough to…

Breaks down when it wants, not when it wants

My first surprise was how low the production quality of the Cuisinart product was. One of the flaps closing the lid was broken and the rest of the flaps look wobbly, I doubt they will last more than a few uses. The second surprise is after filling the container about a third full with salt water and adding veggies. , he decided to collapse on his own, spilling everything on the counter and floor. I kept holding it and managed to keep it extended until I was ready to put the lid on. It's…
