Cuisipro Set of Stainless Steel Measuring Cups and Spoons Review

I have a set of stainless steel Cuisipro measuring cups and spoons that I bought 9 years ago. They are heavier and stamped 10/18, they are made of the highest quality stainless steel. the set is not hallmarked, often because it is 18/0 inferior stainless steel, the measuring cup is noticeably thinner, a major disappointment!

I have the same set of measuring spoons bought over 10 years ago. This purchase was a gift for a friend. This new set is lighter and the stainless steel looks different. This can be a cost measure to reduce the quality and type of stainless steel. The imprint of the quantity is also less obvious. I took a chance and ordered them and am glad I did. I tested them. I used a food scale to verify that the measured amount of water was the expected weight. Terrible! The one on the left is from this measuring cup set from cuisipro. The right is from an older 18-10 stainless steel Cuisipro set. I've had it new for 5 weeks and every part is marked/painted and looks like it's about to start rusting. Another set I've had for several years that is unmarked! I love these measuring cups and spoons. The oval shape is great because they fit in containers that don't fit round cups and spoons. HOWEVER, as shown in the attached photo, 1 and 1/2 cup measuring cups are marked as 1 cup size. You obviously can't be *both* right. Ouch!
